What data do we store about you

When subscribing to the xymon@xymon.com mailing list, you submit your e-mail address and optionally your name to the mailing list system.

Purpose of storing your data

The purpose of storing your e-mail address is to be able to send you mails from the mailing list, and to verify that postings to the mailing list are made by members of the list.

We also store your postings - including whatever headers you or your mail program provices - in the mail archive. This archive is publicly available on the xymon.com website. Submitting mail to the xymon@xymon.com mailing list therefore will expose your e-mail address on the Internet.

The purpose of making your posts available on the xymon.com website is to aid other Xymon users in troubleshooting problems with Xymon.

Legal basis for using your data

By subscribing to the list - including your returning the confirmation e-mail or going to the registration confirmation webpage - and/or sending mail to the list, you consent to the following:

How we use your data

We will pass your postings to the list to other subscribers, including your e-mail address. In doing so, your e-mail address will be passed to third parties, which may reside outside the European Union. Other than forwarding your posts to other subscribers, we do not transfer your data to third parties.

We store your posting in the mail archive. This archive is publicly available on the Internet. Submitting mail to the xymon@xymon.com mailing list therefore will expose your e-mail address on the Internet.

The data is stored on servers located in the European Union.

Withdrawing consent

You can at any time unsubscribe from the list. We will immediately stop sending you e-mail from the list, but your previous postings to the list will remain online.

If you wish to delete your data

The mail archive does not delete postings automatically. You have the right to have posts to the mailing list deleted from the archive. To do so, please send an e-mail to henrik@xymon.com from the e-mail address you wish to have deleted. If you no longer have access to the e-mail address from which the posts were sent, then you must inform me of the mail address whose posts you wish to have deleted.
